Residents can also make use of the borough’s Household Waste Recycling Centres, which are open every day from 8am until 5pm during winter. These are located on Burtonhead Road in the Town Centre, Junction Lane in Newton-le-Willows, and Tasker Terrace in Rainhill.
Alternatively, residents who subscribe to the garden waste collection service can have their tree collected in their green bin.
Garden waste collections will resume on the week of Monday 4th February after the winter break, on your normal calendar collection day.
Please ensure that if you use the garden waste service to collect your tree, it is broken down sufficiently and can fit inside your green bin.
