St Helens Council Leader, Derek Long previously announced that parking concessions would be introduced in the run up to Christmas with free parking on Saturdays and for late night shopping on council owned car parks.
Cllr Long said: “This is another clear investment by us as a council to help shops and shoppers in our town centre. The extension of free Saturday parking into the New Year will encourage more shoppers to support St Helens Town Centre and our local businesses and retailers.”
Participating car parks are as follows:

· Central Street
· Cotham Street
· Mill Street
· Millennium Centre
