Calling all creative children, could you come up with a name for a new family friendly attraction?

A new soft play area is coming to Newton-le-Willows as part of the major refurbishment of Newton-le-Willows Health and Fitness Centre (formerly known as Selwyn Jones Centre).

Help us name the new attraction and be in with a chance to win a party or play sessions at the centre.

The name should be fun, simple and easy to remember and entrants can submit up to three suggestions.

The project will see major investment in Newton-le-Willows and will benefit the wider areas surrounding the new Newton-le-Willows Health and Fitness Centre too.

Councillor Anthony Burns, incoming cabinet member for public health, leisure and libraries, said: “This will be a great benefit for the community of Newton-le-Willows and surrounding areas like Haydock who will be able to take advantage of the facilities that offer something for all the family.

“We are committed to investing in communities right across St Helens Borough and projects like this will bring something that so many can enjoy and hopefully encourage more people to see what else we have on offer in our leisure centres and take steps to leading healthier lives.”

The closing date for entries is Friday 7th June.
